Morning light

Caught this sight while zooming out the door to work early this a.m.  Actually, the sight was much more refreshing than the picture, and I had to stop and just stare for a moment...  Both of these violets belonged to the mothers of dear friends of mine. Both of these phenomenal women (moms) have passed on, and I am so glad that I have these flowers to remind me of them....especially on a golden morning like this one...

Mom has several african violets.  They are so beautiful.  Small, yet so colorful.

Nicely done!  love the link to the mothers whom these african violets now symblolize.  What is eye-catching to me is the subtle way you have captured the beguiling fuzziness of the african violet leaf!
My dad had jillions of these babies growing under fluorescent light in the basement.  I killed every one he ever gave me, so I am reminded of HIM, and the sad fact that I didn't inherit his green thumb!
