The full moon on July 31st, the second one of the month, making it a "blue moon." i think i took about 8 billion photos of this moon, and it was so bright that i got lens flares on almost all of them, or it came out blurred because it eventually got very misty/foggy out. this is the only one that came out right, and only because i took a picture of its reflection in a puddle on the ground and then blacked out the water glare in corel.... it was a gorgeous moon, and i wanted a photo of it any way i could get it.... hahaha

That beats the ones I took. Nice job.
Awwww! I'm so jealous...I wanted to get a pic of that too but have been having a hard time getting night shots to look right and didn't really have time to stop anyway..saw it was still out this morning but was already rolling...I'm telling ya, the shots you see while driving but can't get because there's nowhere to stop will kill ya!

Nice pic :)
Hubby tried taking some pics of the blue moon but had the same problem, lens flare or it was foggy. This one is great that you took!
oh, we had a beautiful fire ceremony that night in the middle of a black woods in rural NE PA. It was a gorgeous night and a gorgeous moon. Fantastic fire ceremony too. Beautiful photograph!! judi
AWESOME..............U DID A GREAT JOB................STORMIE
Great moon picture! I also had the same problem taking pictures of the moon, but did manage to 'luck' out on a few. ~Deborah
Great moon shot Christie! How ingenious of you to take its reflection in a water puddle! so clever! None of mine turned out, all had flares around them, and I didn't have the time to grab my tripod. One of the shots turned out looking like Mickey Mouse, pretty funny.
