This one was kind of a new one on me... I had actually never seen a day lilly with all of these layers before, and it is so pretty! There aren't but about 5 of them in the whole garden. Also, if anyone happens to know what this is:
it would be much appreciated. There are two of them, and my aunt has no idea what they are. They are lasting FOREVER, though...been bloomed out about 2 weeks now, and still the same. No wilting, no turning. Strange looking, but pretty. They have us kind of baffled though...possibly a hybrid of all they are planted amongst?

Very pretty, and I don't know what that second flower is.
The first one appears to be of the Tiger Lily family...and the next one looks to be a "wild morning glory"...they tend to spring up almost any place in fields, gardens, around porches, etc. Lovely!!
I'm just getting caught up here but EVERYTHING you have posted is just delightful. Your flowers are so vibrant (and I've never seen a layered day lilly either)...I absolutely LOVE the rescue squad boat! The ducks are awesome too...you really got in close. Excellent photos all the way around!

I am ashamed I haven't come here until the Editors picked your journal to feature--especially being a devotee of sepintx, whose interview of you I so enjoyed. I am in awe of photo-bloggers (and steal religiously from them for a journal-link trade in my Interactive Haiku blog.) (also on the awards list, she says super-blushingly!) I really like the consistency of your presentations here. when I got to this entry, though, I was going to leave a comment to contact rRose, who is all-wise about all manner of nature (and photography!!!!--one of my first journal friends, ever.) But I see she was here long ago to let you know the answer to your question. Now i will have to chastise her for not pointing me in your direction.

My mother has always called the second flower a spider lily. Don't know if she is right or not, but I ain't telling her she's wrong..lol
